Keeley founded Mega Mentors in 2009 as a result of working with children in East London and realising that many of them were lacking ambition and opportunity. The project was set up from a desire to see some of the barriers that restrict social mobility in the lives of the children removed, and to help create increased confidence, inspiration, opportunity and equality.
Keeley has been in the charity sector her entire working life and has worked on projects tackling drug addiction and homelessness both in the UK and in Hong Kong, she has been involved in the rehabilitation of young offenders, working among children in London’s poorest communities and with the elderly.

‘It is so exciting to be part of Mega Mentors and to have been able to be there at the start of the project, to see its development and watch it grow from strength to strength. There are so many children today with potential who are not, for various reasons, recieving guidance, encouragement and hope for their future. Mega Mentors will be able to bridge this gap and bring meaning, direction and fun into their lives.’
Trustee: Phil Tucker
Phil is the Operations Manager for a major UK bank that he has worked with for 27 years. While at the bank Phil has worked in a variety of roles including financial advisor, personal and corporate account management, pensions compliance, and is currently an Operations Manager in the City of London responsible for a critical IT system.
‘Mega Mentors is a fantastic and exciting way of helping children who in normal circumstances may be unable to fulfil their dreams, to learn how they can exploit their potential and achieve their ambition.’ Phil was delighted to be asked to become a Trustee of Mega Mentors and is looking forward to using his banking experience to develop and grow its scope.

They raise the aims and motivation of underprivileged children to a much higher place than their ordinary lives would allow them to reach, through contact with people successful in their own careers, so that some of their inspirational sparkle might rub off on them. As a Trustee i am happy to support this terrific work in whatever way i can.’
